Background: I’m a seasoned registered dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and integrative wellness practitioner. I co-founded and run Mindful Nutrition Counseling®. In my practice I work with people of all ages to improve overall health, energy, wellness, weight and lifestyle. Working with clients to discover their best “self” and together create reasonable steps for making their goals into reality is my specialty.

Philosophy: Meeting clients where they are at, without judgment, is my nutrition and wellness philosophy. Each individual has unique needs and the capacity to grow and change. As your partner on the journey of discovering your best self, I’m in the passenger seat, you’re the driver. I will not give you a one-size-fits-all plan, but rather listen fully, drawing out your strengths and challenge you to move forward.

About: What drives me to do what I do stems from the compassion, hope and care others have given me through this past decade when an unexpected heart condition arose. Countless amazing individuals believed in me and supported me into getting the best care possible and back on my feet. Connecting with others is what I love most; meeting each person where they are right now and helping them along their wellness journey. When I’m not connecting with friends or family, you’ll find me at a yoga studio, coffee shop, or bookstore.  I love testing out recipes for bloggers in my kitchen and driving all over to support local farmers and businesses for ingredients.

Favorite food:  Dark chocolate (I’ll drink it, eat it with fruit, nuts, in shakes, as a powder or as a bar. I love it frozen, melted, room temp, with friends, family or solo..).

Favorite form of exercise: Vinyasa and Yin Yoga

Specialties: Women’s nutrition, family planning, disordered eating and heart health.

#1 healthy eating tip:  Set your environment up for success and eliminate temptations. See food = eat food. Keep treats out of sight and in a designated “treat” area in your fridge/freezer/pantry.  You know yourself best, if you can’t moderate it, don’t keep it in the house.

Biggest nutrition pet peeve: I’d love to never hear of another “diet of the moment,” promising incredible results for everyone if they just eliminate or include (fill in the blank… food of the moment).
