The recipe calls for amaretto, but you could also use peppermint schnapps and garnish with a candy cane.  No time to make your own hot chocolate? Make a package of sugar-free cocoa and add 1 oz of flavored alcohol of your choice. (Recipe here.)

If you want to really impress your friends, you can make your own homemade, healthy egg nog.  If you don’t have time for that, pour 3 oz light egg nog and ¾ oz rum over ice and top with ground cinnamon. (Recipe here.)

::

5. Dark and stormy

This ginger and rum drink is far more delightful than the name suggests. At just 164 carlories per drink, it’s festive and delicious. (Recipe here.)

::

If all else fails and you show up to a party, unprepared, go for a glass of wine or light beer.  As far as alcoholic drinks go, these will be consistently lower in calories. (With the calories you save you can eat a couple extra cookies… #moderation.)
