Recipe: 3 Ingredient Pizza Crust!

Recipe: 3 Ingredient Pizza Crust!

Three simple ingredients is all you need to whip up a Paleo and Whole30 friendly pizza crust. It’s healthy enough to enjoy any day of the week and doesn’t require an oven! What more could you want?

Once you make the crust, you can get creative with the toppings. Enjoy a traditional pie prepared with marinara, sautéed vegetable, and diced chicken…. or a taco pizza with fat-free refried bean, guacamole, veggies and a dash of hot sauce… or even a slice of greek-inspired pizza made with hummus, roasted vegetables and a drizzle of balsamic reduction on top. And if you’re not Paleo, feel free to add a sprinkle of parmesan, low fat mozzarella, or feta cheese. The options are endless!

Time: 15 minutes

For a whole egg version (thicker, more firm crust)

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 large egg white
  • 2 T coconut flour, sifted
  • Optional spices- mixed herbs, red pepper flakes and sea salt

For an egg white version (thinner, crispier crust)

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 2 T coconut flour, sifted
  • Optional spices- mixed herbs, red pepper flakes and sea salt

  1. Cover a frying pan with cooking spray and allow to heat up on low.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs/egg whites and whisk until opaque. Sift in the coconut flour and whisk very well until clumps are removed. Add in the spices of choice and sea salt and whisk once more.
  3. Once frying pan is hot, pour the “pizza” mixture in the pan and ensure it is fully coated. Cover the pan with a lid/tray for 3-4 minutes or until bubbles start to appear on top. Flip, cook for an extra 2 minutes and remove from pan.
  4. Allow to cool slightly before topping and using as a pizza base
